Our nearest town, Bradford-on-Avon hosts an excellent selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs to explore. With so many world-class attractions in our local area, you won’t be short of things to do. Bath - UNESCO World Heritage Site
Stunning Georgian architecture only 15 minutes away. Wander the streets to discover the architectural wonders of the Circus or the Royal Crescent. Visit world-class museums and galleries. Discover the unique cafes, restaurants and pubs. Shop your socks off in the myriad of retailers or stroll the famous Christmas market. Party the night away in atmospheric basement clubs.
Longleat - Safari Park & House
Drive through Britain’s most popular safari park, race your family to the centre of the Hedge Maze, let the kids go wild in the huge Adventure Castle play area, take a tour of the astonishing stately home. Bradford-on-Avon
Our nearest town is only a 5 minute drive away. Traditional family-run shops are squeezed between some excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes. It’s a lovely place for a short stroll or head to the canal for a longer walk or cycle. For the more adventurous it‘s possible to hire canal boats for the day, or even a kayak. There’s also a farmer’s market every Thursday morning.
Houses & Gardens
We have some superb properties and gardens very close to us. The 15th-century manor house and arts & craft garden at Great Chalfield Manor is only 5 minutes away. Dyrham Park (20 mins) offers ancient parkland, 17th-century house and garden. Lacock abbey & village (20 mins) is also close or for a truly stunning day out head to the world famous landscaped gardens of Stourhead (35 mins).
Cumberwell Park Golf Course
Wiltshire’s only 45 hole golf course is our neighbour. Offering one of the best courses in the South West, Cumberwell Park has been awarded four stars in Golf World’s Top Courses in Britain. Visitors are welcome. Why not book a round of golf or visit the Clubhouse for a bite to eat or something to drink.
Pubs & Restaurants
There is a superb selection of local pubs and restaurants nearby. For exceptional food it’s hard to beat The Longs Arms in South Wraxall. There’s also The Bunch of Grapes in Bradford-on-Avon, famous for it’s excellent Sunday Roast. For a family friendly Italian meal head to Il Fiume in Bradford-on-Avon or The Dog & Fox for British pub classics.
